on friday i was frantically getting ready to leave for san antonio. i was in my bathroom, doing the usual girly stuff. then i realized i hadn't heard syd in the past minute or two (when she crawls she breathes really loudly, so i can usually tell where she is).
i ran into the living room, and she wasn't there. i called out her name and ran over to the hallway that has the guest bathroom, office and her bedroom. i noticed the door to the bathroom was closed. i tried opening the door, and sydney was sprawled out on the floor (directly in front of the door, of course), eating cat food like there was no tomorrow. once she saw me though, she tried to get to me. of course, that stupid door was in the way. so she started crying because she couldn't get to mom, while i tried to explain to my 10-month-old that she should move so "Mama could get in there." eventually i was able to get her out. :)
apparently i didn't learn my lesson, because as i was packing up the car later that day, she snuck in and closed the door again. this time she got into the kitty's water bowl, and was soaked from head to toe. i think i need to close that door more!

in other news, kirk has his tests next week. i asked him this morning how he was feeling, and he said "stressed!" in a fairly calm voice.
a minute later, he turned to me and apologized for "snapping at me."
i love my sweet husband. :)

Aww! Is she okay? Is cat food okay to eat? haha, I had a friend who, in 2nd grade, ate her family dog's food all the time.
If that's how Kirk snaps... wow, I'm jealous. ;)
