10 Months!

these photos were taken on my ipod, so they're a bit blurry. But you get the picture (pun intended!)--Syd and i were having fun. 

Syd turned 10 months yesterday. i cannot believe it...we are in the double digits now!

here is what she's doing:

-she says  "ma ma" and "da da," among her other gibberish. we're trying to reinforce who is mom and who is dad, but mostly her "da da" is when she is happy, and "ma ma" is when she wants something.

-she has one tooth that just came up a few weeks ago

-she {usually} takes a long first nap (2-3 hours) and a short second nap. lately, she has decided that naps aren't cool, and she only wants to sleep maybe an hour each time.

-she still does the army crawl.

-she goes from crawling to sitting, and sitting to pulling herself up to standing.

-once she's standing, she gets freaked out and still needs help getting down. i'm trying to let her learn, but her screams of terror get to me sometimes, and i help her down.

-she loves it when we sing to her, especially if we use weird voices or gestures.

-she has a particular high-pitched voice she uses when she sees anything cute: another child, another baby, a furry animal, etc.

-she likes to fling her head back super fast if she wants to get down when you're holding her. you have to keep a tight grip!

-she's wearing size 3 diapers.

-she sticks her finger in her ear (usually her right one) when she is tired.

-no matter how much i cut her fingernails, she continues to gauge her face and ears.

-she sits up well enough that i have finally let her take a big girl bath. and she loves it!
