Oh how they grow!

both of my little kiddies are growing great. one in belly, and the other one out of the belly. :)

here are some ultrasound pics of baby #2 (in reverse order, of course):

12 weeks

8 weeks

6 weeks
i am hoping *crosses fingers* that i have crossed over the morning sickness stage. i have thrown up far less in this pregnancy (average of only about once a week) than i did with Syd the Kid. but i still have felt ill and had major food aversions (for example, chicken).

we'll see if i'm right if i don't throw up tomorrow. for some reason Sunday, the day of rest, has also been the day that i tend to throw up. what??

kirk and i are super excited about this new little one that is coming. kirk is also trying to stay calm and not think about the fact that we're going to have a second child. that means two at once. ok maybe i might be trying to stay calm as well. ahh!!

we're also trying to wrap our brains around the fact that our world might no longer be all girl. this pregnancy is a complete opposite of what it was with sydney. of course there is the lack of throwing up, but also (tmi coming up) the lack of constipation. oh and the major presence of acne. with sydney i loved my skin. not so much with this kiddo. i will laugh and be a little relieved if it's a girl (just because we know how to deal with a girl), but i have a suspicion that it is a boy. if it is, we will love that little boy so much that he's going to be sick of us from an early age. :)

but what is baby Hill #1 up to these days?

oh ya know...just enjoying the fall.
hangin' around.

Dewberry Farm

at Dewberry Farm. right before melt down/desperate need for nap time.

balloon room at the ward trunk-or-treat. Sydney LOVES Addie...

and balloons.

if you couldn't tell, she's Elmo. that is Dorothy, Elmo's fish, in the bottom right corner of her dress.  she has a cute headband that has an Elmo nose and eyes, but she's a toddler. c'mon people! she's not going to keep that on. :)

i love this picture. maybe because the yellow balloon is glowing.

Little Miss Copy Cat

last night sydney and i were eating dinner (kirk was on his way home). edamame is the ONLY vegi she will eat....seriously. whenever i serve it i squeeze the beans out of the pods for her, but i eat them by dragging my teeth along the pod to squeeze the pods into my mouth.

well she ate them the right way for a while, but then she started to put them in her mouth, chew them and spit them out. it wasn't like she didn't like them anymore, because she just kept doing it. i finally realized that she was noticing my pile of empty pods on my plate, and decided what i must be doing is putting the edamame in my mouth and then spitting it right back out again. hehehe.

Halloween wreath!

so i have been going through a bit of an obsession with tulle as of late. i bought a TON of tulle when it was half off at Hobby Lobby so i could make baby tutu's and sell them. so far i have only made them for baby showers.

i wish i had taken pics of the other baby tutu's i have made, because they are so much better than the first one i made for syd. i'm a little embarrassed that i had syd prancing around in that one for her 1st birthday, but what can you do? it was still cute because SHE is cute.

anyway, after slicing my finger with the rotary cutter (not the first time, and certainly won't be the last), and a few hours of tying the tulle on an embroidery hoop, i finished! i'm trying to be better about actually finishing projects instead of just starting them, ya know? so i get really excited when i finish one.

oh and many thanks to mom who supplied some of the supplies for this project. :) it was fun shopping with you mom!

next project to finish: sydney's quilt. i have done the quilting, and now i just need to bind it all together. wish me luck!
