i have to come to an even greater appreciation for my husband. this weekend we found out that a fellow seminary/high school classmate died in a car wreck. he was just married about a year ago. his wife was not in the car with him--he was coming home from work. so she is left a young widow.
kirk and i weren't close to this guy. we just weren't in the same group of friends. but he was a great guy, and i ache for his wife. they were married in the temple, so they are sealed together forever. they will see each other again, and i am so grateful for the knowledge of the gospel...to have that comfort that death is not the end.
but having a knowledge of eternity shouldn't stop us for appreciating our loved ones while they are here with us. kirk puts my needs before his, time after time after time after time. he takes the dog out (the one that i wanted) to go potty when it's cold outside. he does dishes. he watches tv shows with me just so he can spend time with me. he makes me feel beautiful as my belly continues to expand. he drives me crazy sometimes too, but that's because we are both human. i would rather have him here driving me crazy than not here at all. :)
love you kirky.

My sister and brother-in-law knew that guy too. they were in his ward at BYU-I. my sister went to ward counsel with him. it was way shocking for them too. so sad
That picture of you and your husband is adorable! And thank goodness for the blessings of the gospel.
do I know him? So sorry, it is surreal when something like that happens to someone you know. Cute pic of you two, indeed:)
