we just have so many things that are going to happen this summer, i've started to freak out a bit. i have to constantly remind myself that i can't do most of the things i want to do until we get to houston. it's working better now, but it's hard to not panic!
i have two and a half more weeks of work left. kinda crazy. i have loved working for farm bureau and absolutely love the people i work with. but i'm also uber excited to just be our baby girl's mom, and to move back to where kirk and i both grew up. mixed feelings i guess you could say...definitely leaning towards the direction of "woo-hoo!!!"
kirk is working hard in the lab, tutoring, and finishing up his last semester at school. it's been nice to have the extra money and the extra time with kirk this semester. he couldn't be more excited about going to baylor in july. he's been able to feel the baby as she is having a party in my belly. my whole belly will just poke out in random places really, really fast. kirk said he got goose bumps when he was able to feel her move hard. yay!
as far as the pregnancy goes, second trimester has been easy. i did throw up a couple of times while i was in europe, but i think i was just eating weird stuff and i got super car sick. especially on the curvy bus ride between florence and sienna. that was miserable. but other than that, i've had a little bit of acid reflux, heartburn, a foot cramp late at night...that's about it. the heartburn hasn't been super painful either. i just bought some more tums and zantac the other day just in case it gets worse. i'm hoping the third trimester (that starts next week!) will be good too! *crosses fingers*
kirk and i have started to go to the track as much as we can (we went three times last week, and then walked in the provo canyon for a bit too). i've heard that if i keep that up, the labor will go easier and it will be easier to lose weight after pregnancy. here's to hoping! i love being able to have kirk's full attention as we talk about our plans and go on a walk. i can tell he gets excited to walk with me too, which is sweet.
overall things the past couple of weeks have been great (we missed each other lots when i was gone), but i think the stress has gotten to us once or twice. one day i just got so angry at him because of a flippant comment he had made. most of the time i think i would have gotten over it faster, but i just had not gotten enough sleep and i was way too stressed i think. oh yeah and i'm pregnant, but i don't like to blame that for everything. it's like girls who blame everything on their period. anyway it seriously took me all day to get over it...with lots of crying and self-pitying. he went and got frostys for us at wendy's and was trying so hard to make up for it though...how could i stay mad at that?? once we were able to spend more than five minutes together things felt all right.
i love, love, love being able to feel our baby move now. it's the coolest feeling in the world. i love this little girl so much, and already feel extremely protective over her. i want her out so i can hold her and kiss her, but once she is out she won't be as protected!! i'm going to try to not be one of those moms that freaks out about everything with their kids, but i think it's going to take a lot of self control. anyway, i'm excited to meet her!!
the picture below is of the stroller i want to buy. i spent a lot of time searching online for something i liked and i am extremely picky, but i like this one a lot. it's gender neutral and fun.

I loved reading your comments, Rach. :) So cute. You're going to be an awesome mom.
Also, the 3-in-1 stroller combo is the best! We loved it!
PS. You ARE on my readers list. Since my blog is private, in order to read it, I have to send someone an invite and they're added to a Readers List. :) If you can read the blog, you're on the list-- and you can, so you are! :-D
same travel system i picked out! :)
fun post! love the stroller, love the stories. i had a hard time with my stroller pattern, too. i love hearing that my little brother got you a frosty when sad.
